The perfect breakfast on the go – either eat them as they are or add them to a bowl of milk or nut milk, or enjoy them with your favourite drink from the coffee shop. They’re a great snack for later in the day, too.
This recipe makes about 20 balls in 15 minutes despite having so many ingredients. The trick is to have an organised kitchen with all nuts, seeds and dried fruit in containers next to each other. You can also multiply the recipe and keep the balls in the freezer as a standby for really hectic days.
G = genius food ingredient, SF = superfood ingredient
Tbsp = tablespoon, tsp = teaspoon
In a blender, blend all ingredients except crunchy additions for 1-2 minutes. Mix the crunchy additions in a shallow bowl and stir half of it through the blender mix. Form 20 balls in your hand and roll them in the shallow bowl for decoration. Making the breakfast balls the night before is ideal to give the chia seeds time to expand, and you know breakfast is ready when you need it.
